A nice story.
Priscilla Marchant was already thinking she needed to get away from the boss she loved. Peter B. Lockhart had only employed her because she was a plain, brown type of girl that would not hound him as some of his other secretaries have. When her brother-in-law stops in at here job to encourage her to move out of her flat and further from her sister, to give her sister a chance to stand on her own, she decides to look for a new job on her vacation.
While making a last delivery for her boss, Priscilla rescues an elderly woman stuck up a tree. Rosina Claremont befriends her and invites her to stay with her to help with some children she will be watching for a few months. Her nephew, the horibble Barnabas, does not want her to take on the task. Coming to find out who was staying with his aunt, Baranbas turns out to be P.B. Lockhart, her old boss.
Barnabas had over heard a small portion of the conversation between Priscilla nd her brother-in-law. He mistakenly believed they had been having an affair, and George was now returning to his wife. Finding her at his aunt's he spends time with her, working on a children's book. Using the artistic talents he had abandoned for his job, he is encouraged by Priscilla to continue on. Mistaking for a visit by George and Clarice as a rekindling of the affair, he dumps Priscilla. Finding out he was wrong, he then has to convince her he really does love her.
