Shayla is a very reclusive and private person. Extremely shy, she didn't even have a boyfriend until after she started working as a songwriter for a children's show. Making up silly songs, she wants a little more in her life. When her friend asked her to take her son to his uncle's ranch, she heads out to Montana.
Love at first sight. Love for Montana, and love for the large, remote cowboy, Turner. For the first time, the plain little Shayla wanted to turn the gorgeous head of a man in her direction. Turner was controlling, but after finding out that he had raised his younger brother and sister, she could understand where he was coming from. His idea of control was not like her mother's.
Growing up fast at seventeen, Turner felt he could not let go. If he lost control, he might lose the rest of his family. Becoming estranged from his brother, and finding out he was the cause of the separation of his brother, his brother's girlfriend and their son tore him up. They forgace him, but could he forgive himself.
A very sweet, loving story. Well written and a joy start to finish.
