Cara had lived with the death of her parents and did not remember much of what had happened when they were killed. Raised by the nuns, she had just turned eighteen and was about to become a nun herself. She was not a member of the local clan and knew that love and marriage would never be an option for her. That is until Lucan MacLeod saved her.
Bringing a woman in to the castle should have pushed the fighting brothers further apart, but seeing the love grow in Lucan's eyes, helped each to begin to come to terms with the tragic past they shared. They learned that they must be a family, and work together to keep everyone safe.
An excellent story.
