Slade had always had a hard life. The unclaimed bastard of a rich man, he grew up in the shadow of his father. He had a younger half brother he could never acknowledge. An brief marriage and a fiesty stepdaughter added to the mix. Having Joslyn come back to town, he wanted to finally fulfill his own dreams.
A nice story. A little slow at times, but lots of people to meet. Well written.
