Mia will marry him and then he will take Daniel, his son, to be raised as fitting for a future king in Calandria. Then, Mia would simply be divorced and he would have his heir.
Danny is just a little boy turning four. He knows his mother loves him, and the Marcelli family loves him. He is happy to have a daddy like everyone else. Trying to explain to him what it would mean for his life as a future ruler proved more difficult than Rafael had expected. He came to learn that little boys are real people with real feelings, and he wanted Mia more than he wanted to be king.
